The present invention relates to a system for providing electrical simulation to a muscle. The system comprises a current output mean for delivering electrical charge to a muscle for simulating muscle contraction, a mechanomyography sensor operatively associated with the current output means for detecting a mechanomyography signal resulted by the muscle contraction, and a programmable controller connected to the mechanomyography sensor and the current output means for analyzing, based on the mechanomyography signal, and for sending a command to the current output means, wherein the mechanomyography signal received by the programmable controller comprises data associated to mechanical properties of the muscle including muscle vibration and muscle contraction.
